Plot - Battle Fever J

The third installment of the Super Sentai series is called Battle Fever J. It was created by Toei Company and ran for 52 episodes from February 3, 1979, to January 26, 1980, on TV Asahi. Toei had previously collaborated with Marvel on the Spider-Man film.

Battle Japan, Battle France, Battle Cossack (Soviet Union), Battle Kenya, and Miss America are just a few of the international nations that the Rangers have been given the names for.

The Super Sentai format, in which the heroes command enormous robots to vanquish a monster that has become enormously large itself, was also established in this episode, making it the first of the series to do so.

This was done in response to the enormous success of Toei’s Spiderman adaption as well as its own original episodes, Daitetsujin 17 and Giant Robo, both of which saw reruns among Japanese kids and saw toy sales soar.

The series received a 12.0% average rating.

Plot Battle Fever J

Four teenage spies who had been sent all around the world for training are gathered by General Kurama. FBI agent Diane Martin, whose father was killed by Egos, has joined them.

To create the Battle Fever team, the five put on powered suits. (At the time, the word “fever” was in vogue.) The Battle Fever Robo is the team’s greatest strength. Egos tries to halt the creation of the Robot, but the Fever team eliminates each of the creatures they dispatch to do so.

The Buffalo Monster’s “younger brother,” a massive mechanical copy of its “older brother,” is then unleashed by Egos. Fortunately, The Robot is completed on time. The Fever crew defeats the Buffalo Monster and its offspring while riding it.

The Fever team keeps on even after losing two of its members (the first Battle Cossack is slain and the original Miss America departs). With the addition of two more players, the team vanquishes Hedder, who is now the Hedder Monster, and infiltrates Egos’ headquarters, where they feed their bodies into the Egos Monster Making Machine to create a Battle Fever Monster.

The squad uses the Lightning Sword Rocketter sword-throwing move to murder the mystery deity Satan Egos and destroy the machine.
