The 1993 entry in Toei Company Limited’s Metal Hero Series was Tokusou Robo Janperson. The show focused on Janperson, a robotic investigator who patrolled Tokyo’s streets and engaged in combat with three distinct underworld groups that employed cutting-edge technology to enslave the populace.
The monster-of-the-week was uncommonly featured in Metal Heroes, and the majority of the antagonists are crooks akin to those in police dramas on television. For worldwide distribution, Toei has given this series the moniker Jumperson.
